DABS signs five major contracts worth 710 million Afghanis

KABUL: Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) the country’s main power supply company has signed contracts worth approximately 710 million Afghanis with domestic private companies for the implementation of five major development projects.
According to a statement from DABS, the projects include the construction of four large substations, as well as solutions to the overloading issues of the 6th feeder in Kabul and fulfilling related technical requirements.
The sources noted: “The projects include the construction of a substation for the Barikab Industrial Park in Parwan province worth 369.2 million Afghanis, the construction of three substations in Qarabagh, Muqer, and Shahjoy districts in Ghazni and Zabul provinces at a cost of 206.8 million Afghanis, and also, addressing the overloading issues and related technical needs of the 6th feeder in the capital Kabul at a value of 137.4 million Afghanis.”
Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat has also instructed the contracting companies to complete all tasks with high quality and within the specified timeframe in accordance with the terms of the contracts.
