KABUL: The U.S. State Department has indicated that the government is working to close the shelter in Qatar housing Afghans who have been waiting for years to travel to the United States of America.
Reports suggest that these individuals may be offered cash payments as compensation for their relocation to the U.S.
Simultaneously, Islamabad has threatened to repatriate 20,000 Afghan refugees who are residing in the country with hopes of moving to other nations.
It is worth noting that the U.S. has imposed restrictions on refugees from several countries, including Afghanistan.
Donald Trump is known for being a staunch critic of immigration worldwide.
