Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi emphasizes the importance of historical research and documented writing

KABUL: Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi, Deputy Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture, has emphasized that researchers and writers must provide documented and accurate information about the sacrifices of the people, their struggles, and the injustices and torture they endured.

This is crucial for future generations to understand these events and the struggles of the Mujahideen.

According to Radio Omid correspondent, he made the statement at a gathering focused on printed works held by the “Scientific and Cultural Omid Society” in Kabul today.

He added that the occupiers inflicted significant pain and difficulties on the people of Afghanistan over the past 20 years, highlighting the necessity for comprehensive and in-depth research in this regard.

He stated that jihad was an obligation, which the Mujahideen fulfilled; thus, documenting these struggles and passing them on to future generations is the responsibility of cultural figures, writers, and scholars.

This government official recognized the efforts of the “Scientific and Cultural Omid Society,” which has conducted writings and research on the past twenty years of occupation, noting them as worthy of appreciation.

At the gathering, speakers emphasized the value of reading and writing, encouraging the legacy of knowledge for future generations to ensure awareness and progress.

They also discussed the importance of writing and reading from the perspective of religious teachings and advocated for equipping future generations with the adornment of knowledge and awareness of their nation’s rich history.
