Kabul governor called strengthening Kabul-Tashkent relations for benefit of two nations

KABUL: Mullah Aminullah Obaid, Governor of Kabul, met with Erkin Jan Turdimov, Governor of Syr Darya in Uzbekistan, and his high-level delegation on Monday, here in Kabul, the Kabul governor’s press office said in a statement today.
In the meeting, the Kabul governor said that Afghanistan and Uzbekistan had deep religious, historical, cultural, and economic ties and emphasized the strengthening of these relations for the benefit of the two nations.
Governor Obaid called for facilitating Afghan traders and stressed expanding bilateral cooperation in trade and investment. Turdimov noted the “remarkable progress” observed during his visit to Kabul and remarked that Afghanistan has entered a new phase of stability.
The two sides agreed to further enhance religious, historical, cultural, and economic relations, provide necessary support for investment and trade, and continue joint collaboration.
Over the past four years, political, economic, and trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have increased significantly, reaching unprecedented levels.
