KABUL: A senior delegation from Afghanistan’s Standards Quality Authority(ASQA) has travelled to Turkmenistan to discuss fuel imports and assess oil production facilities, the agency said on Tuesday.
The delegation, led by ASQA’s General Director Mullah Faizullah Tamim, will focus on ensuring the import of high-quality petroleum products into Afghanistan, evaluating oil resources, and inspecting refineries in Turkmenistan, according to a statement from ASQA’s media office.
The delegation is expected to meet Turkmen officials and tour oil reserves as well as refining facilities during the trip.
Officials said the team will review the processes of production, refining, storage, and export of petroleum products in Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan is one of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries and exports various goods, including petroleum products, to Afghanistan.
