KABUL: A senior Afghan delegation, led by Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, accompanied by Balkh Governor Mullah Mohammad Yousuf Wafa, has traveled to Uzbekistan to participate in a joint meeting with Afghan and Uzbek officials, as well as businesspeople, investors, and industrialists.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with Jamshid Khodjaev, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, to discuss expanding economic cooperation between Kabul and Tashkent.
The talks will focus on increasing trade volume, which was recently agreed in a virtual meeting to reach $5 billion within the next five years.
