KABUL: Afghan officials report that six days of military strikes by Pakistan, from February 22 to the present, have martyred at least 52 civilians, including women and children, and injured 66 others.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said in a statement today that the attacks targeted residential areas and refugee camps (Omari and Anzargi) across several provinces, including Paktika, Khost, Kunar, Nangarhar, and Kandahar.
He added that eight homes were completely destroyed and 14 others partially damaged. In addition to human casualties, significant property losses were inflicted on Afghan citizens.
While Pakistan’s attacks have continued for six days, Afghan defense and security forces have launched retaliatory strikes on Pakistani military installations over the past two days.
