ASADABAD: The provincial officials of Kunar have confirmed that three civilians were martyred and four others injured following heavy weapons fire allegedly launched by Pakistani military forces.
According to officials from the provincial police command, the incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on Monday, when a rocket shell struck a settlement of returning Afghan migrants in the Hijrat Abad area of Khas Kunar district, resulting in the martyrdom of three children and injuries of four others, including a woman.
Officials stated that this is not the first time Pakistani military fire has resulted in civilian casualties inside Afghanistan.
According to figures released by the authorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, dozens of Afghan civilians have been martyred or injured over the past ten days due to what they describe as indiscriminate attacks in various parts of the country.
