Hundreds rally in Wardak, condemn Pakistan’s attacks on Afghanistan, back Afghan Security Forces

KABUL: Hundreds of residents of Maidan Wardak Province held marches in the provincial center and several districts to express support for Afghan defense and security forces amid ongoing clashes with Pakistan’s military.

According to Maidan Wardak press office statement on Friday night, the demonstrators chanted patriotic slogans backing the country’s security and defense forces and condemned attacks carried out by the Pakistani military against Afghanistan.

They also praised the bravery and heroism of Afghan forces confronting Pakistani troops, emphasizing that defending Afghanistan’s freedom and dignity is both an Islamic and national responsibility for every Afghan.

The statement added that residents described the killing of innocent Afghans in Pakistan’s attacks as a “clear crime.”

Speakers at the rally said the Afghan nation has always stood behind its forces and will never allow anyone to violate the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also declared that, if permitted by the Islamic Emirate, they are ready to make any sacrifice in confronting Pakistan’s military regime.

Similar gatherings in support of Afghan security forces were also held in several other provinces, including the capital, a day earlier.
