Afghan forces’ heavy attack on Pakistani troops in Paktia leaves 8 soldiers dead

KABUL: Afghan forces launched a heavy attack on Pakistani troops in Paktia Province, resulting in significant casualties, security sources confirmed.

According to sources who spoke to Radio Omid on Sunday, the clash occurred late Saturday in the Toop Sar area of Dand Patan District.

The source said the confrontation began after Pakistani military forces opened fire on Afghan troops, prompting a strong response from Afghan forces.

According to the information provided, the bodies of eight Pakistani soldiers currently remain in an area under the control of Afghan forces.

Over the past ten days, Afghan forces have carried out heavy attacks against Pakistani troops along the disputed Durand Line as part of the “Radd al-Zulm” operation.

Meanwhile, Pakistani forces have been accused of targeting civilian areas, resulting in civilian casualties and significant property damage.
