KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said that the Pakistani military regime’s airstrike had targeted a civilian fuel depot belonging to the private airline Kam Air near Kandahar International Airport.
In a post on his X, Mujahid said the facility stored fuel used to supply civilian airlines as well as aircraft operated by the United Nations.
He added that Pakistani forces had previously struck another fuel storage facility owned by a private businessman identified as Haji Khanzada.
Mujahid called the bombing of civilian infrastructure as a “crime” and said targeting such facilities was unacceptable, warning that the attacks would receive a strong response.
Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have risen in recent days following a series of cross-border strikes and accusations from both sides.
