KABUL: The country’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said 300 Afghan migrants have been released from prisons in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the ministry said the individuals crossed back into Afghanistan via the Torkham border crossing.
According to officials, the detainees had spent between one and 60 days in Pakistani prisons.
The ministry said the returnees were registered upon arrival and later transferred to their home regions after receiving humanitarian assistance
