KABUL: Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said Pakistani forces carried out fresh attacks on civilian areas in eastern Afghanistan.
Fitrat said mortar shells were fired Sunday morning at around 9:30 a.m. on the outskirts of the Shanpat area of Nari District, Kunar Province, injuring one civilian and a woman.
He added that Pakistani forces also opened fire on a civilian vehicle in Shkin District, Paktika Province, though no casualties were reported in that incident.
