KABUL: The country’s Ministry of Public Health says more than 51,800 minor and major surgeries were successfully carried out at the National Stomatology Hospital during the past (1404) solar year.
According to a statement from the ministry’s press office, 1,113 of the procedures were major operations, while 50,695 were minor.
Officials said the surgeries were conducted in line with professional standards, reflecting the hospital’s growing technical and professional capacity.
The ministry added that during the same period, 1,429 patients received inpatient (IPD) services, while 109,532 others were treated through outpatient (OPD) services.
The figures highlight ongoing efforts to expand healthcare services in Afghanistan.
