LASHKARGAH: The Afghan security forces have eliminated a hashish processing facility in southern Helmand province, officials said.
According to the provincial police command, the factory was discovered and destroyed in the Washer district during an operation by local security units.
Police spokesperson Nasir Ahmad Muhajir said that 29 kilograms of hashish and 14 kilograms of cannabis were seized and destroyed at the site.
He added that all equipment and materials linked to the facility were also completely dismantled.
Authorities in Helmand emphasized that operations against drug production and trafficking will continue.
