TAKHAR: The Takhar Police forces have arrested a man accused of trafficking more than 50 kilograms of hashish, officials said.
Nezamuddin Umair, spokesperson for the provincial police, said in a statement that the suspect was detained while attempting to transport a 51-kilogram shipment of the drug.
According to officials, the individual is originally from Parwan province and was apprehended before smuggling the drugs into an unknown area.
Authorities did not provide further details about the suspect’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the seizure.
The case will be sent to judicial organs following initial investigations, police said.
