Agriculture Minister, Uzbek delegation discussed expansion of bilateral trade relations

KABUL: Mawlavi Attaullah Omari, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, met with an Uzbek delegation led by the governor of Andijan, here in Kabul.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock’s media office in a statement today, said that the discussions focused on expanding cooperation and developing trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
According to the statement, issues discussed included exports of meat, agricultural equipment, transit facilitation, and quarantine-related matters.
Meanwhile, the day before, a joint delegation from Uzbekistan’s public sector and private sector also led by the governor of Andijan arrived in Kabul on an official visit.
Last week, another joint Uzbek public-private delegation led by the governor of Namangan left Kabul after a multi-day trip and meetings with Afghan officials.
