KABUL: A delegation of international Islamic scholars visiting Afghanistan has met with Abdul Latif Mansoor, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, officials said Monday.
According to a statement from the ministry, the scholars came from Turkey, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Mauritania, and Serbia.
The two sides discussed strengthening unity among Islamic countries, supporting development initiatives, and enhancing cooperation.
Mansoor said the ministry is working to implement development projects across the country, particularly in remote and underdeveloped areas, to improve living conditions.
Afghanistan has hosted numerous international scholars in recent years following political changes in the country, officials added.
