KABUL: The Red Cross Society of China has donated $100,000 cash for the support of flood-affected families in Afghanistan, the Afghan Red Crescent Society said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the aid was handed over by Bao Zhouhui, deputy ambassador of China to Afghanistan, to Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
Delawar said China has consistently supported the Afghan people during difficult times and assured that the funds would be distributed transparently and fairly to those in need.
The Chinese diplomat also reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to standing alongside the Afghan people, noting that the donation is part of broader humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
China has previously provided both financial and in-kind assistance to victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan.
