New Delhi sends 13-ton BCG vaccines to boost child immunization in Afghanistan

KABUL: India has delivered a 13-ton shipment of medical aid to the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan, officials said.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, in a post on X said on Tuesday that the shipment includes 13 tons of BCG vaccine used to prevent tuberculosis, along with related medical supplies.
He said the assistance is expected to strengthen Afghanistan’s child vaccination program against Tuberculosis.
India has previously provided multiple rounds of humanitarian and medical assistance to Afghanistan.
