KABUL: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health says that the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has delivered 29 batches of medicines to the Nangarhar Public Health Directorate.
According to a post on the ministry’s X account, the medicines were handed over to officials by UNICEF for the second quarter of the current (Gregorian) year, to provide health services at the Nangarhar regional specialized hospital and in district hospitals.
The announcement states that 15 of the medicine batches are allocated for the regional hospital and 14 for district hospitals, and they will be transported to all centers within the scheduled timeframe.
UNICEF has previously supported various hospitals across the country with medical aid.
