Iran ‘prepared for possible renewed war’ amid U.S. military buildup, Tasnim reports

KABUL: Iran is prepared for the possibility of renewed conflict as the United States increases military deployments in the region, according to a report by Tasnim News Agency.
The report comes as preparations are underway in Pakistan for a second round of talks between Tehran and Washington.
Tasnim highlighted what it described as significant U.S. military movements, including repositioning of warships, large-scale airlifts of equipment using C-5 and C-17 aircraft, reconnaissance drone flights, and military exercises in Bahrain.
The report warned that in the event of renewed conflict, key areas such as the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, Saudi Aramco facilities, and areas like Yanbu and Fujairah could be drawn into the fighting.
According to Tasnim, Washington is simultaneously escalating threats while continuing to emphasize diplomacy in public messaging.
The report added that Tehran has prepared for both scenarios, military confrontation and diplomatic engagement, by taking necessary measures on both fronts.
Earlier, officials from Russia had warned that the U.S. might use ongoing negotiations as a cover for potential military action against Iran.
