Afghanistan, Uzbekistan agree to establish Export Center in Balkh

KABUL: Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, during his official visit to Uzbekistan, met with Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of that country.

According to a statement from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in trade, transit, and Afghan exports to Uzbekistan.

They also agreed to facilitate structured visits of Uzbek provincial governors to Afghanistan and to establish an export center in Balkh province dedicated to Afghan products, along with defining its operational mechanism.

Azizi expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for inviting Afghanistan to the INNOPROM Central Asia Industrial Exhibition.

The Afghan delegation, led by Azizi, has been in Uzbekistan for several days, participating in the exhibition and holding meetings with officials from Uzbekistan and other participating countries.
