Pakistan strikes on Kunar leave 8 dead, 81 wounded, including women and children

ASADABAD: The death toll from recent Pakistani artillery strikes in Kunar province has risen to at least eight martyrs and 81 wounded, according to local officials and health sources.
According to Radio Omid correspondent, authorities in Asadabad, the provincial capital, confirmed that all victims are civilians, including women and children.
The shelling reportedly targeted multiple civilian areas, including Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan University, where more than 30 of the victims are said to be students and faculty members.
The attacks, carried out by Pakistani forces, mark a continuation of cross-border shelling in the region despite a ceasefire between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
