KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement that a high-level joint government and private-sector delegation from Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, has arrived in Kabul.
According to a statement, the delegation arrived in Kabul on Saturday afternoon and is expected to hold talks with Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce.
The delegation is led by Amanbay Orynbayev and is visiting Afghanistan to discuss expanding trade and economic relations with Afghan officials.
The statement added that the delegation will participate in trade networking meetings and business forums during the visit.
As part of the trip, the Uzbek delegation is also expected to visit Balkh province, attend additional business meetings, and inaugurate an exhibition showcasing domestic products from Uzbekistan.
Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have expanded political, economic, and trade relations over the past four years, with efforts continuing to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
