KABUL: Donald Trump has described Iran’s latest response to a U.S. proposal for an agreement as “unacceptable.”
Following a review of Tehran’s response on Sunday night, Trump reacted on his social media platform, Truth Social, saying he was “not happy at all” with Iran’s reply, without providing further details.
The U.S. president’s dissatisfaction appears to signal a continued deadlock in efforts to reach an agreement between Iran and the United States.
Details of Iran’s response have not yet been made public.
Iranian state media reported a day earlier that Tehran had delivered its reply to Pakistani mediators.
Trump’s remarks come despite growing optimism in recent days among regional countries about the possibility of a deal between Washington and Tehran.
