KABUL: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay an official visit to China from May 23 to 26, China’s foreign ministry announced on Thursday.
According to Reuters, the visit comes amid ongoing diplomatic activity in the region and continued efforts to address tensions in the Middle East.
Pakistan’s foreign minister previously visited Beijing in late March as part of an intensified diplomatic engagement aimed at easing regional tensions.
Sharif was recently in Ashgabat to attend a plenary session of the International Forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality status.
