KABUL: At least 82 people were killed after a gas explosion struck a coal mine in northern China, according to state media reports.
Xinhua News Agency reported that the incident occurred on Thursday at the “Liusheniu” coal mine in Qinyuan County, located in Shanxi Province.
The report added that nine people remain trapped underground, while rescue teams continue efforts to recover those still missing.
