Iran-U.S. draft agreement could end conflict across all fronts

KABUL: A draft agreement between Iran and the United States is currently under review and could lead to an end to hostilities across all fronts, The New York Times, citing three Iranian officials, reported.
According to the report, the main focus of the proposed agreement is the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and lifting of the U.S. naval blockade.
The report added that Iran’s nuclear program has, for now, been excluded from the text of the agreement, with discussions on the issue postponed to a later stage.
Sources further said implementation of the agreement could also result in the release of $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets.
