More than 85,000 Afghans return from Iran and Pakistan

KABUL: More than 85,000 Afghan nationals returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan between May 24 and June 6, according to the latest Flow Monitoring data released by the International Organization for Migration.

The organization reported that a total of 85,420 Afghans returned during the period. Of these, more than 44,500 individuals arrived from Iran, while 40,824 returned from Pakistan.

According to the data, the majority of returnees during the reporting period came from Iran.

The International Organization for Migration said it continues to monitor the situation of returning migrants and collect data to assess their needs and conditions upon arrival in Afghanistan.
