Three Mosques worth more than 98 million Afghanis inaugurated in three provinces

KABUL: The Ministry of Public Works has said that the construction work on three mosques has been completed and inaugurated in Ghazni, Kandahar, and Helmand provinces, at a cost of more than 98 million Afghanis.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, the mosques were constructed within over two years in the districts of Ab Band in Ghazni, Maiwand in Kandahar, and Nad Ali in Helmand.

Each mosque was built on three jeribs of land and has the capacity to accommodate 300 worshippers at a time, including 170 men and 130 women.

The newly inaugurated mosques are equipped with parking facilities, a dedicated residence for the imam, and separate prayer and ablution areas for male and female worshippers.

The ministry also noted that, under a directive from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, construction work has already begun on 14 additional mosques along the Kabul–Herat Highway.
