KABUL: The Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Trade Forum was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of government officials, representatives of chambers of commerce, and private sector members from both countries.
During the forum, the two sides agreed to establish a Joint Trade Council between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, aimed at strengthening direct business ties and expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking at the event, Mawlavi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, the acting head of Afghanistan’s diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan, highlighted the significant potential for cooperation in trade, investment, transit, and economic sectors. He expressed support for further expanding and strengthening economic relations between Kabul and Bishkek.
According to participants, the establishment of the Joint Trade Council is expected to facilitate increased trade exchanges and promote broader economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
