KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has strongly condemned the Pakistani military’s overnight airstrikes on residential areas in the country’s Paktika, Paktia, and Kunar provinces.
In a statement posted on his X account, Mujahid said that the Pakistani military had once again carried out airstrikes targeting residential areas in the Giyan district of Paktika province, Chamkani district of Paktia province, and Manogai district of Kunar province.
According to Mujahid, dozens of civilians, including women and children, were martyred and injured as a result of the attacks.
The spokesman called the airstrikes as a “cowardly act,” an “act of aggression,” and a “brutal crime,” adding that the Islamic Emirate condemns the attacks in the strongest possible terms.
