Pakistan’s overnight airstrikes leave dozens martyred, including children, in Afghanistan

KABUL: The number of casualties from the Pakistani military’s overnight airstrikes in Paktika, Paktia, and Kunar provinces has risen, with the latest reports indicating that more than 50 civilians have been martyred and at least 167 others injured.
According to available information, the victims include 25 children, while women account for a significant proportion of those wounded.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has strongly condemned the Pakistani military’s airstrikes on the Giyan district of Paktika province, Chamkani district of Paktia province, and Manogai district of Kunar province, describing the attacks as an “act of aggression” and a “crime.”
Mujahid stated that the strikes targeted residential areas and resulted in the martyrdom and injuries of dozens of civilians, including women and children.
