Afghanistan and Kazakhstan hold talks on research cooperation and transport corridors

KABUL: A delegation from the Strategic Studies Center of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held discussions with leading research institutions in Kazakhstan on academic cooperation, bilateral relations, and regional connectivity during an official visit to the country.

According to the Strategic Studies Center, the delegation met in Astana with officials from the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan and the private research organization “Open World.”

The discussions focused on transport corridors, the Afghan Trans project, and other key regional issues of mutual interest.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening and continuing academic and research cooperation and expressed hope that the outcomes of these discussions would contribute positively to the expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

The meetings also highlighted the growing importance of regional connectivity initiatives and collaborative research in promoting economic development and regional integration.
