KABUL: A gas-related fire in Honi Saydan village, in Pul-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province, has claimed the lives of two children and injured a 16-year-old teenager.
According to Mawlavi Mirwais Abdali, spokesperson of Logar governor, the incident occurred when members of a family were attempting to release accumulated gas from a room, but the gas suddenly ignited, triggering a severe fire.
Abdali said that three people were initially injured in the incident, but two children, aged seven and ten, later lost their lives while receiving treatment at a hospital, and the 16-year-old victim remains under medical care.
Local authorities have urged residents to strictly follow safety guidelines when using gas appliances and equipment to prevent similar tragedies and injuries in the future.
