50 agreements signed at Afghanistan Industry and Mining Exhibition

KABUL: A total of 50 agreements and commercial contracts worth more than $1 million were signed during business-to-business meetings held on the sidelines of the Fifth National and International Industry and Mining Week Exhibition in Afghanistan.

Mansoor Yousafzai, the exhibition’s media coordinator, told Radio Omid that 328 companies showcased their products and services in more than 400 exhibition booths representing 36 different sectors.

Yousafzai said that 10 of the signed agreements were concluded between the Afghanistan Iron Smelting Association and an Iranian delegation for the supply of factory equipment and raw materials.

He added that the participation of official delegations, ambassadors, business leaders, company representatives, and thousands of visitors highlighted the exhibition’s growing importance in promoting domestic production and attracting investment in Afghanistan.
