ASTANA: The Afghan Embassy in Kazakhstan has said that Afghanistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Astana, Mufti Mohammad Rahman, met with CICA Secretary-General Kairat Sarybay.
In a statement, the embassy said the two sides discussed Afghanistan’s permanent membership in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Afghanistan’s active participation in the organization’s meetings, and the country’s important role in Asia and the region.
The meeting also included discussions on providing Afghan farmers with alternative seeds and chemical fertilizers as part of efforts to combat narcotics cultivation, as well as establishing short-term training programs for Afghan government employees.
