KABUL: Mawlavi Gul Hassan Hassan, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Moscow, held separate meetings with representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and officials of the International North–South Transport Corridor Forum in Astrakhan to discuss expanding trade, economic, and transport cooperation.
According to a statement posted by the Afghan Embassy in Moscow on Wednesday, the meetings focused on strengthening direct ties between Afghan and Russian business communities and expanding cooperation in agriculture, energy, industry, transport, and logistics.
The embassy added that the Russian side invited Afghan officials and business representatives to participate in the International North–South Forum in Astrakhan. Both sides also emphasized the importance of expanding regional transport corridors and enhancing economic cooperation.
