Nearly 50,000 displaced and returning families receive 181 million Afghanis in assistance

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation says more than 181.3 million Afghanis in humanitarian assistance was distributed over the past month to 45,550 displaced, returning, and vulnerable families across 23 provinces.

According to the ministry, the assistance included cash grants, food supplies, healthcare services, clothing, and other essential relief items.

The ministry stated that the aid was delivered through its provincial offices and relevant departments in coordination with government institutions and charitable organizations.

The assistance was distributed in the provinces of Kabul, Daikundi, Nangarhar, Laghman, Nuristan, Kunar, Khost, Logar, Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Uruzgan, Herat, Farah, Badghis, Nimroz, Ghor, Balkh, Baghlan, Sar-e-Pul, Samangan, Kunduz, and Takhar to help meet the recipients’ basic needs and improve their living conditions.

The ministry expressed hope that the support would help ease some of the hardships faced by the beneficiary families.
