KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has said Washington will carry out major military strikes against Iran on Monday and Tuesday local time, claiming that Pickaxe Mountain will be among the targets.
Pickaxe Mountain is located near Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility and is considered one of the country’s most heavily fortified sites.
The mountain contains two deep underground tunnel complexes that experts believe are capable of withstanding even the most powerful U.S. bunker-buster bombs.
According to Reuters, Trump said: “We are watching Pickaxe Mountain very closely. We see no activity there. Their nuclear situation is not good.”
