Afghan Air Force repairs Mi-17 helicopter after 13-month overhaul

KABUL: The Ministry of Defense has said that an Mi-17 helicopter belonging to the Air Force has been repaired and is ready for flight after 13 months of comprehensive repairs and technical testing.
According to the ministry, the helicopter was repaired by engineers and technicians of the Air Force and successfully returned to operational service after completing all required maintenance, technical inspections, and performance evaluations.
Officials said the restoration marks an important step toward enhancing operational readiness, strengthening the Air Force’s capabilities, and continuing efforts to repair and return military aircraft to active service.
