CENTCOM: U.S. strikes target Iranian military sites for eighth consecutive night

KABUL: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released a video stating that, on July 18, American forces, based on the orders of President Donald Trump, concluded their eighth consecutive night of strikes on military targets in Iran.

According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted coastal surveillance centers, air defense facilities, naval military capabilities, and storage sites for missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to degrade Iran’s military capabilities.

CENTCOM also claimed that U.S. forces struck facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), alleging that the group had carried out an attack on American forces in Jordan on July 17.

The command added that more than 50,000 U.S. troops are currently deployed across the Middle East and remain fully prepared to respond to any potential threats.

Meanwhile, Iran has also said it targeted U.S. military bases in the region in retaliatory strikes, which reports say resulted in the deaths of two American soldiers.
