KABUL: Minister of Information and Culture, Shaikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani, during his visit to Maidan Wardak, visited the provincial Department of Information and Culture of the province, where he described the establishment of the “Mujahid Museum” as one of the department’s most significant achievements.
According to a ministry statement, the minister said the museum would help introduce the history of jihad to future generations and play an important role in preserving the country’s historical heritage.
Haqqani also pledged full support for completing the remaining work on the Maidan Wardak Public Library and issued recommendations to provincial officials aimed at improving the department’s activities.
During the visit, Mawlavi Habibullah Mujahid, Director of Information and Culture in Maidan Wardak, said the museum houses historical artifacts, military equipment used by mujahideen, handwritten copies of ancient books, as well as memorabilia and a registry honoring martyrs.
