FARAH: The Relief Organization, with financial support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has distributed medical, non-medical, and auxiliary equipment worth 37 million Afghanis to 65 health centers in Afghanistan’s western Farah province.
According to Dr. Mohammad Wali Ahmadzai, Director of Public Health in Farah, the initiative provided 116 different types of equipment and supplies to health facilities to improve the quality of healthcare services and expand public access to medical care.
The distribution ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Farah, the provincial Directors of Economy and Information and Culture, who emphasized the importance of strengthening the healthcare system, further equipping health centers, and ensuring continued support from partner organizations.
Officials said the equipment was supplied to address the most urgent and essential needs of health facilities and is expected to play a significant role in improving healthcare services for local communities.
