Mines ministry signs 109 mining contracts worth 10.2 billion Afghanis

KABUL: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has said that it has signed 109 mining extraction contracts worth 10.2 billion Afghanis with domestic companies over the past year.
The ministry said the agreements are part of ongoing efforts to develop the country’s mining sector and encourage investment.
This comes as interest from regional countries, alongside domestic investors, in Afghanistan’s mining industry has grown significantly in recent years, particularly in the exploration and extraction of the country’s mineral resources.
