Traffic accident leaves two dead and four injured in Faryab

FARYAB: Two people were martyred and four others injured in a traffic accident in Almar District of Faryab province, local authorities said.

According to the Faryab Police Command’s Media Office, the crash occurred when a Mazda-type truck collided with a Toyota Corolla in the district, resulting in the martyrdom of two people and injuries to four others, who were transferred to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Traffic accidents remain one of the leading causes of fatalities in Afghanistan, with authorities continuing to urge drivers to observe traffic regulations, avoid excessive speed, and exercise greater caution on the roads.
