U.S. investigates possible Russian role in Iranian attacks, Reuters reports

KABUL: U.S. intelligence agencies have launched an investigation into the possible involvement of Russia in Iranian attacks targeting CIA facilities in the Persian Gulf, Reuters reported.
U.S. officials have not found conclusive evidence that Russia directly assisted in carrying out the attacks, said the report, adding that, however, the precision and effectiveness of the strikes, along with Moscow’s extensive security cooperation with Tehran, have raised concerns about a possible Russian role.
The investigation comes after Iran reportedly targeted CIA-linked facilities in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and several other countries in March this year.
