Car bomb attack kills 15 Pakistani security personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

KABUL: At least 15 Pakistani security personnel were killed after a vehicle bomb targeted a joint police and army checkpoint in the Manjah Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, completely destroying the facility.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s military, the attackers rammed a vehicle packed with explosives into the checkpoint’s perimeter wall, triggering a powerful blast that caused extensive damage.

The military said the victims included 12 soldiers, two police officers, and one employee of the Forest Department.

Reports said the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals, and local officials have imposed Section 144 across the area, introducing security restrictions and urging residents to avoid unnecessary movement.
