Deputy PM Mullah Baradar calls for digitalization of government documents

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, has called for the formal launch of the electronic digitization of documents across government institutions, stressing the importance of technology in the country’s economic development.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of a five-day Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition, Baradar said technology plays a vital role in the modern era and can make a significant contribution to Afghanistan’s economic growth and development.

He urged the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to begin the official process of digitizing government records, adding that the adoption of technology in the industrial sector and other areas of the country is a necessity.

The five-day exhibition aims to showcase technological achievements, expand digital services, and promote the development of information and communication technology across Afghanistan.
